Tanya Sessions has over 20-years of experience in the energy industry and is currently the Power Systems Development Account Manager for the Southeast and Gulf Coast for new and emerging energy technologies across Siemens businesses, including Fluence for energy storage systems, as well as other technologies such as wind, solar, hydrogen, transportation electrification, and others currently in research and development.
Prior to joining Siemens in 2019, she held positions as Director of Originations for onshore renewables at Orsted and Senior Program Manager with the Electric Power Research Institute, leading innovative wind, solar, and hydropower generation research. In 2005, she joined NextEra Energy, spending many of her ten years there as a Business Development Director, leading development and originations of over 1.5GW of new battery storage, wind, and solar projects across the U.S.
Tanya holds a Bachelor of Science degree in industrial engineering, with a minor in mathematics, from Clemson University, and a Master of Business Administration degree from Carnegie Mellon University.
